A commitment to providing accurate and reliable guides in the consumer PC Space.

Verge PC that was built very poorly
What we’re trying to avoid.

The goal is to provide quality, reliable and accurate information in choosing the best parts to meet your needs at your budget.

This will be based on a range of trusted sources as well as my own opinions and testing to create the guides that are presented here. No LLM spew or UserBenchMark year round April fools commentary.

My opinions

“Wait you said accurate and reliable but now we have to deal with your opinion?”

Yes, unfortunately you do. I do my best to inform my opinion based on a range of testing from trusted reviewers with years of experience as well as combining their thoughts into the wider tech news and tech creator space.

My Experience

I have always been interested in computers but having grown up lower middle class there was never an opportunity to pursue that interest very far and I’d got sidetracked into stuff like studies and working.

Fortunately or unfortunately an event occurred which resulted in me finding myself with lots free time and without the ability to go outside.

That resulted in me being able to spend too many hours and days pursuing this interest to the point where I’d gone from never having built my own PC to doing multiple different custom loops in the period of about 9 months.

Additionally I became active in the DIY tech spaces and interacting with the communities of large creators where I often found myself helping to spec full systems or providing feedback on specific choices of hardware.

During that time I realized that most of the advice was being repeated again and again so I started looking for a simple place/creator I could point people to and just say; “Everything is there, set your budget and just follow that advice.” This proved more difficult than I though as there wasn’t just a single place I could single out that had easy to follow text based advice.

And that’s a short story on how we ended up here.
